Explorers Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Aveteva LLC, doing business as Explorers ("Explorers," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website at explorers.work (the "Site") and the Explorers operations platform (the "Service"). This policy applies to information we process as a controller — primarily information about visitors to the Site and individuals who create accounts with us.
When customers use the Service, they upload or connect data ("Customer Data") that may include personal information about their employees, customers, vendors, and other contacts. For Customer Data, the customer is the controller and Explorers acts as a processor on the customer’s instructions. Our handling of Customer Data is governed by the customer’s Terms of Service or applicable Data Processing Agreement.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you sign up, contact us, or use the Service, you provide information such as your name, business email, company name, role, billing details, and the contents of communications with us.
Information from connected services
When you authorize a connection to a third-party service, we receive information from that service based on the scope of access you grant. This may include account profile data, financial records, communications, calendar events, files, customer and contact details, and other content. We use this information to provide the Service to you.
Usage and device information
When you use the Site or Service, we automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages or features used, timestamps, referring URLs, and similar telemetry. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser; some features of the Service depend on cookies and may not work without them.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from analytics providers, identity verification providers, payment processors, and other vendors that help us operate our business.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
• provide, secure, support, and improve the Site and the Service;
• authenticate users, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms;
• process payments and manage subscriptions;
• communicate with you about your account, the Service, and relevant updates;
• generate de-identified, aggregated insights that do not identify any individual or customer; and
• comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
3. AI Processing
The Service uses large language models and other artificial intelligence techniques to generate outputs. To do this, we transmit relevant inputs to AI service providers under contracts that prohibit them from using your data to train their general models. We use Customer Data to operate models within your tenant and to evaluate model quality. We do not use Customer Data to train models that are made available to other customers in a form that identifies the source.
4. How We Share Information
Service providers and subprocessors
We share information with vendors that help us run the business, including cloud hosting, data storage, AI processing, analytics, customer support, payment processing, and security. These vendors are bound by contract to use information only on our instructions.
Connected services
When you connect a third-party service, we exchange information with that service as needed to operate the connection. The third-party service’s privacy practices apply to its handling of your data.
Affiliates and successors
We may share information with our affiliates and with parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to confidentiality.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process, or government request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Explorers, our customers, or others.
Aggregated and de-identified data
We may create and share data that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not identify any individual or customer.
We do not sell personal information for monetary value. Some of the disclosures described above may be considered "sharing" or "selling" under certain U.S. state privacy laws, even when we do not receive money for them. You can exercise the rights described in section 7 to limit those disclosures.
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Customer Data is retained according to the customer’s subscription terms and any applicable Data Processing Agreement. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or where data has been aggregated or de-identified.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include access controls, encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, logging, and routine review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete your personal information;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request, contact privacy@explorers.work. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. If we deny a request, we will explain why, and you may have the right to appeal. If your request relates to Customer Data submitted to the Service by a customer, we will refer you to that customer.
8. International Transfers
Explorers is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or other safeguards to protect personal information transferred internationally.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or 16 where that age applies). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Site or notify account holders by email.
